When it Rains it Pours...and it Won't Get Dry

My dryer went out. I have lots of laundry to do too. That makes for a bad week, but after a hospital stay after eating something with gluten, and a short pay check because I am out of sick time...well the timing stinks.

I am excited about the new gluten-free hamburger helper. Always a nice thing to have in the cabinet when you need to throw something together quick. My niece and her BF tried it this week and said that the Asian Fried Rice was actually very good. They live on the East Coast and it isn't here yet. I'm waiting on the Bisquick mix. I hear it makes yummy pancakes. I can't wait.

Tomorrow, I go dryer shopping and then off to class. I haven't done any homework this whole quarter. Blah. Sunday is catch up day. I hope. I hear the pool calling my name.....

This is Going to be Tough

I am waiting for the hubs to get home from the store. I think the last of the gluten attack is over. I have slept off the meds and recovered from the lack of sleep. Back to work tomorrow. I know this is going to be a long, hard, road. Even in my own home. They just aren't willing to go GF all the way around. Hopefully, I won't get sick again.

Apparently NOT Gluten-Free Enough

I had the most fabulous weekend. I sang in a dear friend's wedding and hung out with old friends and made some new ones. I even managed to keep from eating anything "bad" at the reception. Then last night, I was awaken from a deep sleep to the most horrific pain. So here I sit in the hospital. Thank God for modern medicine and drugs. Tomorrow, finally a biopsy to check for Celiac's. Hopefully, some real answers. In the mean time the imposed gluten-free diet is making me feel better. I did think though that a hospital would have more GF choices than a hamburger patty, baked potato, cottage cheese, fruit and pudding. All of them good items, however not for every meal.
